Washington Redskins linebacker London Fletcher said Friday that he has re-signed with the team.
"Redskins fans your captain is back!" Fletcher, who was a free agent, wrote on Twitter.
He also said he was excited about returning to the Redskins and acknowledged the support of fans.
Fletcher, 36, has played the past five seasons for the Redskins, starting all 80 games. He had 166 tackles, 1.5 sacks and two interceptions last season and was named to the Pro Bowl as a replacement for injured Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher.
The Redskins have yet to announce a deal.
