Arlington, TX SportsNetwork.com) - The Texas Rangers optioned second baseman Rougned Odor to Triple-A Round Rock on Monday.

Odor has batted .144 with one home run and nine RBI in 29 games for Texas this season. In the field, Odor has committed three errors.

The 21-year-old Odor broke into the majors last season. Over 114 games in 2014, he hit .259 with nine home runs, 48 RBI and a .699 OPS.

The Rangers also purchased the contract of infielder Thomas Field from Round Rock. Field played in 28 games for Round Rock and hit .298 with five home runs and 13 RBI.
