Lexington, KY (SportsNetwork.com) - Aleighsa Welch netted 21 points, grabbed 10 boards and had five blocks to lead No. 4 South Carolina to an 81-58 win over No. 15 Kentucky on Thursday.

Khadijah Sessions poured in 18 and Elem Ibiam added 16 points for the Gamecocks (23-2, 11-1 SEC), who have won eight straight. Tiffany Mitchell contributed 12 points and seven rebounds.

Makayla Epps and Jennifer O'Neill scored 16 and 12 points, respectively for the Wildcats (19-6, 7-5), who face No. 16 Texas A&M on Sunday.

Neither team led by more than five until the Gamecocks scored 10 straight to gain a 34-21 lead with 3 1/2 minutes left in the first half. Kentucky trailed by eight, 36-28, at the half.

South Carolina opened the second half with a 17-4 tear to take a commanding 21-point lead with just over 15 minutes left to play. Kentucky came within 11 points, but that was the closest it would come through the final 10 minutes.
