Edward Loar carded his second straight under 68 Saturday to extend his lead to four strokes after three rounds of the Panama Claro Championship.

Loar finished 54 holes at eight-under-par 202. Prior to having the second- round lead, Loar had never before been in first after a round on the Nationwide Tour. He will go for his first tour win on Sunday.

First-round leader Justin Hicks shot a three-under 67 to move into second place at minus-four at Panama Golf Club.

Kevin Johnson, who made the cut on the number, fired a seven-under 63 to soar into a share of third place. He was joined at three-under-par 207 by Matt Hendrix (68).

Josh Broadaway (64), Justin Bolli (73), Brian Smock (73) and Derek Fathauer (67) are tied for fifth at minus-two.
