Jets re-sign forward Blake Wheeler, agreeing to six-year, $33.6 million contract

WINNIPEG, Manitoba – The Winnipeg Jets and forward Blake Wheeler agreed to a six-year, $33.6 million contract Friday night.

The 26-year-old former University of Minnesota star had a team-high 19 goals and added 22 assists in 48 games last season. He has 93 goals and 139 assists in 327 regular-season games with Boston, Atlanta and Winnipeg.
