Indians put Hafner on paternity list

Kansas City, MO – The Cleveland Indians have placed designated hitter Travis Hafner on the paternity list.

Hafner, who is hitting .230 with 10 homers and 29 RBI in 59 games this season, must remain on the paternity list for one to three days.

The Indians also recalled infielder/outfielder Vinny Rottino from Triple-A Columbus. Rottino, who was claimed off waivers from the New York Mets on June 27, hit .299 with four homers and 32 RBI with the Clippers. He batted .182 in 18 contests with the Mets this year.
