New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Milwaukee Bucks guard O.J. Mayo was suspended one game by the NBA for punching New Orleans center Greg Stiemsma on Friday.

Mayo was given a flagrant 2 foul and ejected from the game after hitting Stiemsma in the throat with 1:52 remaining in the first quarter.

The players had become tied up after Stiemsma set a pick near the 3-point line when Mayo wheeled around and threw the punch. Mayo will sit out Saturday's home game against Washington.
