Shayne Lamas is a second-time mom, thanks in large part to her stepmother, Shawna Craig.
Shayne’s stepmom, who acted as her surrogate, gave birth earlier this month to Shayne and husband Nik Richie’s second child, Closer Weekly reports in its new issue. The baby boy was born July 4.
Shayne is 29 years old, roughly seven months older than her stepmom, who is the fifth wife of Shayne’s father, the actor Lorenzo Lamas.
Shayne is no longer able to have children following a near-fatal ectopic pregnancy last year. She and Richie are also parents to 3-year-old daughter Press Dahl.
A source tells the magazine “the new bundle of joy arrived via natural water birth and everyone is healthy and happy.” The little guy weighed 6 pounds, 4 ounces.
In February, when the former “Bachelor” contestant announced her own stepmom was carrying her child, she told Closer, “Shawna’s not my stepmother, she’s like my soul sister … I look at her like an angel that blessed my whole family, including my father.”
