'Real Housewives' star Kim Richards arrested in Beverly Hills

“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Kim Richards was arrested Thursday morning at the Beverly Hills Hotel, according to E! News.

Richards was around 2 a.m., and charged with a misdemeanor, FOX411 has learned.

According to E!, she has been released but was taken into custody after an alleged fight that prompted security to call police about her behavior. Richards reportedly exhibited slurred speech and smelled strongly of alcohol.

The news site reported Richards kicked a police officer while at the Beverly Hills Police Station, and she was charged with trespassing, public intoxication, resisting an officer and battery on a police officer. She is reportedly due in court on May 10.

Richards, who is Paris Hilton’s aunt and castmate Kyle Richards' sister, has openly discussed her substance abuse issues on her Bravo show. She was previously shown on the show struggling with alcohol addiction and she has been to rehab in the past. She was adamant on the most recent season of the show that she has been sober for three years.

Her castmate Eileen Davidson tweeted that her thoughts were with the Richards family following her arrest. Davidson and Kim Richards butted heads on the reality show after some of the cast, Davidson included, expressed concerns about Kim Richards' sobriety.

The Beverly Hills Hotel declined to comment.
