Jim Carrey served as pallbearer at girlfriend's funeral in Ireland

A somber Jim Carrey flew to Ireland to be a pallbearer at ex-girlfriend Cathriona White’s funeral, where the grim-faced Hollywood actor helped bear the coffin Saturday along with family and friends.

Dressed in a black suit and tie, the bearded Carrey wrapped his arms around White’s sister outside Our Lady of Fatima Church in the tiny village of Cappawhite, mingling with the crowd of family and friends at the service.

White and Carrey were broken up when the 30-year-old makeup artist overdosed on pills and died in Los Angeles last month.

She left behind a suicide note professing her love for the comic, RadarOnline reported.

“Jim, I love you,” White wrote, according to RadarOnline. “Please forgive me. I’m not for this world.”

Carrey paid for the young woman’s funeral services, sources told the Web site.
