Bella Thorne is breaking out of her Disney Channel image with a new spread in Playboy magazine.
The 19-year-old actress graces the pages of the racy magazine for its November 2016 issue paying tribute to the late David Bowie.
In the issue, Thorne sports a red bomber jacket with the late singer’s last name stitched onto the back. It’s all part of a magazine’s segment that highlights women who are making waves in the entertainment industry.
According to People magazine, which broke the story, Thorne uses the opportunity to address those who criticize her being “too sexy” on social media.
“People are constantly trying to change me, every second of the day, especially on social media. I’m not fed up with social media — I understand it — but people like to comment on how my image is too edgy, that I’m too edgy, and on how they wish I looked. It’s a lot of ‘do this, don’t do that’,” Thorne, who is of Cuban descent, told the magazine.
"There’s this effort to try to shame a woman’s sexiness by pulling a cover over it, but I’m a woman who loves skin. I love skin on me, I love skin on girls, I love skin on guys. If you’re confident enough to show off your body, you should."
She continued: "Be confident. It can be difficult to get yourself to focus on you all the time, especially when you’re trying to transition into who you really are, but I’m not going to change for anybody else. I love staying true to me."
The “Blended” star has made headlines in recent weeks for flaunting several racy photos with boyfriend Tyler Posey on her social media accounts.
On Sunday, she stripped down to her bra and Posey's boxers for a new Snapshot post. Her rock-hard abs were on display as she posed in a peach bra and men’s underpants with a pink silk robe hanging off her shoulders.
“#His boxers were made for me,” Thorne captioned a short post.
In addition to other sexy posts with Posey, the actress has also documented how she is transforming from a Disney star to an adult with photos and videos of herself getting tattoos and piercing.
Playboy’s November 2016 issue hits newsstands nationwide on Oct. 25.
