Raw video: Would-be thief cuts through convertible's soft top
A man has been caught on camera cutting open the roof of a Porsche during a failed attempt to steal it.
CCTV footage shows the man slicing open a section of the red convertible’s roof using a lock knife with a five-inch blade before clambering into the driver’s seat in front of a passer-by.

Seconds later, as the alarm is set off, he can be seen climbing back out of the hole in the roof after failing to get the vehicle started.
Police hunting the would-be thief have appealed for witnesses to the attempted robbery at 7.45am on 29 September in Mill Street, in London’s wealthy Mayfair, to come forward and help them with their investigation.
