A loose pit bull boarded a crowded Phoenix school bus Friday morning and bit an 8-year-old boy and the bus driver, MyFoxPhoenix.com reported.

Both the boy and driver’s injuries were considered superficial, the report said.

The dog had been running loose in the neighborhood before it was able to force its way onto the school bus, the report said. The driver was able to get the students off of the bus and help the injured boy by picking him up, the report said.

The pit bull will be quarantined for 30 days to make sure it does not have rabies.
