CLEVELAND – Police are investigating an overnight shooting in Cleveland that left one dead and four others wounded.
Officials say the gunfire erupted on Cleveland's west side around 11:15 p.m. Sunday.
Capt. Carol Cavin of Cleveland's Division of EMS says four people, including a pregnant woman, were taken to MetroHealth Medical Center after the shooting.
She says one victim, a man apparently in his 40s, was pronounced dead on arrival.
She said the others were listed in critical condition. They included a 22-year-old woman who was four-months pregnant; a 45-year-old man and a 24-year-old man.
Cavin says the fifth shooting victim, a 53-year-old woman, was shot in the arm and was in stable condition.
Police confirmed they were investigating a homicide, but would not release any details. No arrests have been made.
