An Ohio judge has set a $2 million bond for a man accused of fatally stabbing his live-in girlfriend and her two children.

Thirty-six-year-old Caron Montgomery appeared Monday in Franklin County Municipal Court on murder charges in the deaths of Tia Hendricks and her children, 2-year-old Tyron and 10-year-old Tahlia. Police found their bodies Friday inside Hendricks' Columbus apartment after she didn't show up for Thanksgiving dinner or work.

The Columbus Dispatch cites a police statement that says Montgomery also was found in the apartment, with a knife in his neck. Police have said his wounds were self-inflicted.

Hendricks' family members say Montgomery is Tyron's father.

Montgomery was being held in the county jail. A message seeking comment was left for an attorney who has represented Montgomery in previous cases.
