Toulouse, France (SportsNetwork.com) - Ben Yedder produced a hat trick to lead Toulouse to an emphatic 5-1 victory over Sochaux at the Stade Municipal de Toulouse on Saturday.

Sochaux had taken the lead through Emmanuel Mayuka's strike in the sixth minute, marking the third consecutive match in which the 23-year-old has scored.

But the remainder of the match belonged to the home side as Yedder scored twice in the first half to put Toulouse in front.

Francois Sirieix extended Toulouse's lead two minutes into the second half while Yedder converted a penalty kick in the 62nd-minute to complete his hat trick. An own goal from Lionel Zouma in stoppage time sealed the result, lifting Toulouse to 19 points on the season.

Sochaux remains at the foot of the Ligue 1 table on eight points.

Monaco, meanwhile, claimed its second consecutive league win on Saturday thanks to a 2-0 defeat of Rennes. James Rodriguez and Anthony Martial netted the goals for Monaco to bring the club to within two points of first-place PSG ahead of its match with Lyon on Sunday.

Lille maintained its one-point lead over Monaco by getting a 1-0 win at Valenciennes. Ronny broke through for the lone goal of the match just before halftime, and the visitors were able to close out the match despite Franck Beria's red card in the 52nd minute.

Also on Saturday, Lorient earned a 3-0 win over Nice, Loic Perrin scored twice in St. Etienne's 4-0 victory over Reims and Younousse Sankhare netted the lone goal in Guingamp's 1-0 defeat of Nantes.
