Oklahoma City, OK – Oklahoma City Thunder guard/forward James Harden was inactive for Tuesday's game against the Sacramento Kings.
Harden, a Sixth Man of the Year candidate, was the recipient of a blatant and brutal elbow to the side of the head from Metta World Peace in the second quarter of Sunday's double-overtime loss to the Lakers. Harden fell to the floor holding his head and did not return to action.
World Peace, who has history of discipline problems in his career, was ejected from the game and handed a seven-game suspension by the NBA on Tuesday for his actions.
This is nothing new for the player formerly known as Ron Artest, who has now been suspended 14 times over his 13-year career.
Harden, 22, has played in 62 games this season for the Thunder, his third with the team, and has averages of 16.8 points per game, 4.1 rebounds per game, and 3.7 assists per game -- all career highs.
