Tony Taylor scored 19 points, Dwayne Smith had 13 and George Washington held Saint Louis without a field goal for 13:04 in the second half in a 52-46 victory on Saturday.

George Washington (11-10, 4-3 Atlantic 10) broke a four-game losing streak — its longest since an 11-game skid — during the 2008-09 season — by outscoring Saint Louis (7-13, 2-5) 14-1 as they took a 47-39 lead with 3:32 to play. The 46 points allowed by the Colonials were the fewest this season.

Mike McCall and Kyle Cassity led the Billikens, who have lost eight of ten, with 10. Saint Louis missed 15 of its 21 shots in the second half.

The Billikens took the lead on McCall's 3-pointer with 16:19 left in the first half, and led for nearly the entire game. Smith's two free throws with 7:18 to play gave George Washington its first lead — 40-38 — since the game's first minute.
