Gary Dixon scored 23 points and Brandon Fortenberry added 19 to lead Southeastern Louisiana over Northwestern State 93-84 on Saturday night.

The Lions (9-9, 3-3 Southland Conference) led 44-41 with 17:38 left to play and used an 11-0 run to extend their lead to 55-41 with 13:15 remaining. SE Louisiana led by at least seven the rest of the way.

David Ndoumba added 13 points and 14 rebounds for the Lions, who shot 57.4 percent from the floor (31 of 54). Trent Hutchin scored 12 and DeShawn Patterson 10.

Devon Baker scored 31 points for the Demons (12-10, 4-3), who were outscored 49-25 in bench points. James Hulbin and Will Pratt each had 14 points.

Northwestern State led 23-18 after a 3-pointer from Hulbin with 10:02 to go in the opening half, but two layups from Dixon and a pair of free throws from Fortenberry put the Lions in front, 24-23, with 8:29 left before halftime.
