The Seattle Mariners outrighted infielder Luis year veteran opted to become a free agent.

Rodriguez appeared in 44 games for the Mariners last season at all four infield positions and had a .197 batting average with 10 doubles and 14 runs batted in.

He is a career .238 hitter with a .314 on-base percentage, 46 doubles, 10 home runs and 80 RBI through 407 games with Minnesota, San Diego and Seattle.
