Saints sign Galette to three-year deal

Metairie, LA – The New Orleans Saints announced that they have signed pass-rusher Junior Galette to a three-year contract.

Galette, 24, recorded 22 tackles, a career-best five sacks and one forced fumble while playing all 16 games as a defensive end last season, but is expected to transition to an outside linebacker as the team switches to a 3-4 alignment in 2013.

The Stillman product was signed by the Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2010 and made the 53-man roster out of training camp.

In 32 games over the past three seasons, Galette has registered 51 tackles, five sacks, one forced fumble and one pass defensed.
