Carlos Quintero's second-half brace helped Santos to a 3-1 win over Atlas on Sunday in the second leg of their Mexican Liga quarterfinal.

The two sides played to a 0-0 draw in the first leg at Santos, and Omar Bravo netted the first goal of the contest for Atlas in the fifth minute.

Andres Renteria equalized in the 16th for Santos, and the home side's chances were greatly diminished in the 25th when Miguel Pinto was sent off.

It took until the 63rd minute for Santos to take advantage, and it was Quintero that separated the two sides with a goal before scoring again in the 90th minute to lock up the win.

Santos will meet Cruz Azul in the semifinals after the club held off Morelia for a 4-3 aggregate win.

Mariano Pavone scored two goals in the first leg as Cruz Azul won 4-2, while a goal from Rodrigo Dorantes just before halftime pulled Morelia to within one goal on aggregate.

But Cruz Azul held out to advance, and the club will visit Santos in the first leg on Thursday.

The other semifinal will feature Monterrey squaring off with America after both secured a place in the last four on Saturday.

Cristian Benitez netted two goals in the second half of America's 2-1 win over UNAM, allowing the team to advance on aggregate, 3-1.

Monterrey notched a 2-1 aggregate victory against Tigres after a 1-1 draw in the return leg followed Monterrey's 1-0 home win.
