Khalid Mutakabbir scored 25 points, including the game-winning free throws with 20 seconds left in overtime, to lead Presbyterian to a 76-74 victory over Winthrop on Saturday night.

Mutakabbir also hit a driving layup that tied the game with 5 seconds left in regulation.

Jake Troyli added 22 points and nine rebounds, going 13 of 14 from the free-throw line for the Blue Hose (10-12, 4-6 Big South Conference), who scored their final eight points from the line.

Presbyterian defeated Winthrop (9-11, 5-5) for the first time since 1985-86, a seven-game span.

There were eight ties and nine lead changes in the game.

The Blue Hose shot 76.5 percent from the line (26 of 34) for the game.

Charles Corbin had 15 points and 11 rebounds, Robbie Dreher had 14 points, Andre Jones scored 13 and Reggie Middleton added 11 for Winthrop. George Valentine added nine rebounds.
