Believe it or not, but there is actually news coming out of New England that doesn't have to do with Tom Brady's suspension. Matthew Slater was honored with a scholarship named after him at Fisher College, a four-year school in Boston. The special teams captain gave the school's commencement speech back in May, but was honored with the creation of the new $5,000 scholarship on Tuesday.

"Not only did Mr. Slater deliver an inspirational speech to our students, but he really took the time to get to know them," Dr. Thomas M. McGovern, President of Fisher College said. "We are honored to name this scholarship on behalf of someone who exemplifies hard work and excellence both on the field and in the community."

It's a great honor that not many can say they have had in their lifetime. Slater is a key player on special teams for the Patriots and now has a helping hand in putting a student through college.
