Parkhurst joins Augsburg on free transfer

Augsburg, Germany – Unites States international defender Michael Parkhurst has joined Augsburg on a free transfer from Danish side Nordsjaelland.

Parkhurst will join Augsburg in January when the club resumes its Bundesliga campaign, and his deal runs until June 2015.

The 28-year-old has been capped 15 times by the United States and he joins an Augsburg side that is second from the bottom in the Bundesliga and 10 points from safety.
