The NBA has reduced the season-opening 12 season.

Both players had five-game suspensions trimmed down to four.

Villanueva was suspended for an on-court altercation with Cleveland Cavaliers center Ryan Hollins. He then attempted to escalate the altercation by entering the Cavaliers' locker room. Since Villanueva already served one game of his suspension last season, he will miss the first three games of the 2011-12 season.

Bynum was suspended after making unnecessary and excessive contact to J.J. Barea of the Dallas Mavericks in last year's playoffs.
