Minter sets Campbell coaching staff
Buies Creek, NC – New Campbell head football coach Mike Minter announced his coaching staff Thursday, including Landon Mariani as offensive coordinator and Craig Cox as defensive coordinator.
"One of the things that I wanted to do was to bring in guys that fit me as a coach and as a person," Minter said. "It's not necessarily about where you've been. It's about your ability to think through the game. What I've created is a coaching staff that can think through the game and not just stay with the status quo because that's how things have always been done."
Mariani has been on Campbell's staff for the last six seasons. He also will coach the team's quarterbacks,
Cox most recently served as the defensive and recruiting coordinator at Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, N.C.
Also named to the staff were Kevin Thompson (offensive line), Adam Morris (wide receivers), D.J. Summers (running backs), Damien Adams (defensive line), Bryant Foster (defensive backs) and Johnathan Hodges (linebackers).
Minter is trying to revive a Campbell program that finished 1-10 overall and 0-8 in the Pioneer Football League this season.
