James Gallman scored 14 points and hit a 3-pointer with 7 seconds remaining to preserve Middle Tennessee State's 60-54 win over Louisiana-Monroe on Thursday night.

The Blue Raiders (11-12, 6-4 Sun Belt Conference) led 55-54 with 38 seconds left before Gallman's 3 pushed their lead to 58-54.

Jason Jones added 12 points and Trevor Ottley 10.

The Warhawks (6-18, 1-9) shot 50 percent in the opening half (10 of 20) and led 28-23 at the break, but a 30-percent shooting effort in the second (9 of 30), including 1 of 11 from 3-point range (9.1 percent) allowed Middle Tennessee to make a comeback.

Tommie Sykes tied the score at 47 on a layup with 4 minutes to go, but the Blue Raiders scored five straight and led the rest of the way.

Sykes finished with 14 points and Fred Brown had 10 for the Warhawks, who have lost five straight and seven of their last eight.
