Jacksonville, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Jacksonville Jaguars traded quarterback Blaine Gabbert to San Francisco on Tuesday for a sixth-round draft pick and re-signed cornerback Will Blackmon.

The Jaguars selected Gabbert with the 10th overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft out of Missouri. He opened the past two seasons as the starting quarterback but played in just three games this past season after suffering a thumb/hand injury.

Gabbert returned in Week 8 to serve as Chad Henne's backup for the rest of the season.

Over 28 career games -- 27 starts -- Gabbert has completed 414-of-777 passes for 4,357 yards 22 touchdowns and 24 interceptions.

Jacksonville is expected to select a quarterback in the upcoming NFL Draft.

Blackmon had 40 tackles, one sack and one interception in 15 games in his first season for the Jaguars, including eight starts. He has 89 tackles in seven NFL seasons with the Packers, Giants and Jags.
