Mike Glover scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as Iona defeated Loyola (Md.) 86-68 on Sunday.

Glover was hot from the field (11 of 15), but cold from the line (3 of 9). He scored the game's first points on a layup and the Gaels (10-6, 4-1 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) led from start to finish and beat Loyola for the 40th time in 51 meetings.

Rashon Dwight added 18 points, while Alejo Rodriguez and Scott Machado contributed 13 apiece for Iona.

Shooting 55.6 percent from the field in the first half (20 of 36), the Gaels took a 56-37 lead at the intermission and expanded their lead to 24 points late in the second half.

Iona also won the battle of the boards, outrebounding Loyola 38-25.

Jamal Barney led Loyola (6-9, 2-3) with 21 points. J'Hared Hall added 17 points and Dylon Cormier and Brian Rudolph each had 10.
