John Holland scored 12 of his 25 points in Boston University's 17-0 second-half run and the Terriers beat Albany, N.Y., 63-44 on Thursday night at Madison Square Garden.

Holland, the America East's leading scorer with an 18.8 average, showed his versatility in the big run, hitting a jumper, dunking on a fast break, scoring down low and making six of seven free throws.

The win was the third straight for the Terriers (12-13, 7-4), who beat Albany 70-67 on Jan. 15.

Darryl Partin added 14 points for Boston University, which was 9 for 17 from 3-point range.

Tim Ambrose had 13 points and Logan Aronhalt added 12 for the Great Danes (12-14, 5-6), who have lost three of four.

Aronhalt hit a 3 with 13:20 to play that brought Albany within 40-36. The Terriers then went on their run which started with a dunk by Holland and ended with him making four straight free throws that made it 57-36 with 3:17 to go.
