Nick Barbour scored 28 points, including the ultimate game-winner with 32 seconds left as High Point defeated Charleston Southern 77-75 on Saturday night.

The Panthers (7-13, 4-7 Big South Conference) trailed 75-74 after a jumper from Jamarco Warren with 1:05 remaining. Barbour missed a jump shot on the ensuing possession, but Shay Shine grabbed the rebound and dished it to Barbour for the go-ahead layup.

Jonathan Brooks missed a layup and Sheldon Strickland missed a 3-pointer for the Buccaneers (12-11, 6-5) with less than 15 seconds to play. Warren missed a 3 as time expired to seal the win for High Point — just its second in 12 games.

Warren finished with 19 points, Strickland added 13, Brooks had 12 and Kelvin Martin and Kenny Mitchell 11 apiece for Charleston Southern.

Du'Vaughn Maxwell scored 13 and Shine 10 for the Panthers, who shot 50 percent (27 of 54).
