Hamburg's Jiracek out until January with groin injury

Hamburg, Germany – Hamburg midfielder Petr Jiracek will be sidelined by a groin injury until January.

The 26-year-old joined Hamburg over the summer from Wolfsburg but has had a tough time staying on the field since his arrival.

Jiracek was sent off in his second match for the club, and upon returning to the team, sustained a groin injury in Hamburg's 3-0 defeat to Bayern Munich over the weekend.

The Czech Republic international has featured in five league games this season, including four starts.
