East Rutherford, NJ (SportsNetwork.com) - The New York Giants signed cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie on Monday.

The deal is reported to be for five years and is worth $39 million, $14 million of which is guaranteed with a $10 million signing bonus.

Rodgers-Cromartie spent last season with Denver and over 15 games, 13 starts, he totaled 31 tackles, 14 passes defensed and three interceptions, one of which he returned for a touchdown.

The 27-year-old was the 16th overall pick of the 2008 draft by Arizona and he has totaled 246 tackles, 98 passes defensed and 19 interceptions over 92 games with Denver, Philadelphia and Arizona. He returned five interceptions for touchdowns.

He is the third defensive back to join the team in the past two days, as the team signed cornerback Walter Thurmond and safety Quintin Demps on Sunday.

"The main thing, bringing in guys from Kansas City, Seattle, you can see what they're doing, trying to bring guys that are going to come in and lead by example," said Rodgers-Cromartie. "That's always a plus."
