After losing its first three games of the Eredivisie season, Feyenoord has now won back-to-back contests following a 4-0 home thrashing of Roda on Sunday.

Ruud Vormer's 31st-minute penalty kick fired Feyenoord into the lead, while Graziano Pelle continued his strong start to the season by notching his sixth goal of the campaign shortly before halftime, putting the hosts up 2-0.

Nelom Miquel padded the advantage for Feyenoord in the 68th, and Roda was reduced to 10 men in the last 10 minutes as Henk Dijkhuizen was sent off.

John Goossens capped the scoring a few minutes later for the home side with his first goal of the season, moving Feyenoord closer to the top half of the table.

Zwolle won its first four games of the new season to move to the top of the Eredivisie, but the club dropped its first points on Sunday in a 1-1 draw at home against Utrecht.

After going behind to a 50th-minute goal from Willem Janssen, Zwolle equalized in the 74th through Stefan Nijland.

Defending champions Ajax could only manage a 1-1 draw at Groningen as the home side claimed a point through Genero Zeefuik's equalizer in the 76th minute, while Jonathan Reis scored three minutes from time for Vitesse in a 1-1 deadlock at AZ Alkmaar.
