Dortmund, Germany – Stefan Reisinger scored with 12 minutes left and 10-man Dusseldorf escaped Signal Iduna Park with a 1-1 draw against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday in the Bundesliga.
Jakub Blaszczykowski scored his fourth goal this season before halftime, but Dortmund could not hold on as Reisinger scored in the 78th minute on the lone shot on goal for Dusseldorf.
Dortmund extended its league unbeaten streak to six matches and is unbeaten in 10 consecutive in all competitions, but could lose more ground to first-place Bayern Munich ahead of their clash Saturday in Munich.
Bayern visits Freiburg on Wednesday in its midweek Bundesliga fixture with an eight-point cushion on second-place Dortmund, and could extend its lead to 11 points with a win.
Ivan Paurevic was sent off with three minutes remaining in normal time after a second yellow, but Dusseldorf held for its third positive result in its last four matches.
Dusseldorf secured points on the road for the fourth time in seven matches, as it inched up the standings to 13th place on 15 points. Dusseldorf has two ties and a win in its last four games.
Hamburg 3, Schalke 1
Hamburg, Germany - Maximilian Beister and Artjoms Rudnevs scored in the first 20 minutes of the second half and Hamburg defeated Schalke, 3-1, on Tuesday at Imtech Arena in the Bundesliga.
Beister opened the scoring in the 52nd minute and Rudnevs followed in the 65th to put Hamburg in control. Klaas-Jan Huntelaar followed his own penalty miss with a goal in the 80th for Schalke, but Milan Badelj sealed it for Hamburg.
Badelj converted from the spot two minutes into stoppage time, sealing a sixth win this season for Hamburg. Hamburg is eighth in the table on 20 points.
Schalke lost for the third time in its last five, as it remained 10 points off the top in third place.
Mainz 3, Eintracht 1
Frankfurt, Germany - Andreas Ivanschitz, Shawn Parker and Nikolce Noveski had goals as Mainz handed Eintracht its first home Bundesliga defeat this season, 3-1, on Tuesday at Commerzbank Arena.
Ivanschitz and Parker scored in the first half and Noveski pushed the lead to three goals seven minutes after halftime for Mainz. An Adam Szalai own goal was the only response for Eintracht, which had five wins and two draws in its first seven home matches.
Mainz, which snapped a two-game losing streak, climbed to seventh in the table on 20 points. Eintracht dropped points for the fifth time in its last six to remain 10 points off the summit in fourth place.
Hannover 2, Greuther Furth 0
Hannover, Germany - Mame Biram Diouf and Mario Eggimann scored as Hannover won 2-0 over Greuther Furth on Tuesday at AWD Arena to snap a two-game losing skid in the Bundesliga.
Diouf scored less than four minutes into the match and Eggimann sealed the win in the 70th minute, as Hannover picked up its sixth win to move to sixth place on 20 points.
Promoted Furth continued to struggle, as it stayed in 17th place on just eight points and its winless streak reached 13 matches.
