NEW YORK (Reuters) - New Jersey Devils forward Pierre-Luc Letourneau-LeBlond has been suspended for one game for instigating a fight against the Washington Capitals, the NHL said on Sunday.

Letourneau-LeBlond was assessed an "instigator penalty" at 15:53 of the third period of the Capitals' 7-2 victory Saturday at the Verizon Center in Washington and given the automatic suspension.

Letourneau-LeBlond will forfeit nearly $3,000 in salary, the NHL said, adding that the 25-year-old left wing will miss Monday's game against Pittsburgh.
