Tucson, AZ – The Arizona Diamondbacks' Xavier Nady left Friday's contest against the New York Mets with a fractured left hand.
Nady was hit with a pitch by Mets starter Dillon Gee in the second inning and later scored, but when the inning ended, he was replaced by Paul Goldschmidt at first base.
Nady has split time at first and right field for the NL West leading D-Backs, batting .248 with four home runs and 35 RBI.
