DAVIDSON, N.C. – Nik Cochran came off the bench to score all 16 of his points in the second half and JP Kuhlman also scored 16 points as Davidson pulled away in the second half to beat Chattanooga 73-59 on Saturday night.
The Wildcats (12-12, 6-7 Southern Conference) led 39-38 with 13:51 remaining before a 21-3 run put them in front 60-41 with 8:42 left. Cochran scored 10 points during that stretch.
Davidson has won four straight games.
Omar Wattad scored 29 points to lead the Mocs (14-11, 10-3), who had a three-game winning streak snapped.
Chattanooga led most of the first half, but never by more than six points. A pair of layups and a free throw by Jake Cohen enabled Davidson to go to halftime tied 28-28 after trailing 27-23 at the 2:59 mark.
Cohen and De'Mon Brooks had nine rebounds each to help give the Wildcats a 50-38 advantage on the boards.
