Robby Ptacek tied a career high with 26 points and Ken Horton and Shemik Thompson added 24 apiece as Central Connecticut State routed Massachusetts 92-63 on Monday night.

The Blue Devils (8-5) were 31 for 55 from the field (56.4 percent), including 10 of 18 from beyond the 3-point arc (55.6 percent) and scored 28 points off of 22 Massachusetts turnovers.

Central Connecticut State led 33-9 after a layup from Ptacek with 11:04 left in the opening half and led by no fewer than 13 the rest of the way.

Massachusetts (8-5) trailed by as many as 31, 85-54, with 4:19 to go and shot just 17.6 percent from 3-point range (3 for 17) in the loss.

Anthony Gurley scored 18 points and Raphiael Putney added 14 for the Minutemen, who have lost five of their last six contests after starting the year 7-0.

Ptacek and Horton led the Blue Devils with seven rebounds each.
