Alex Francis scored 22 points and pulled down eight rebounds to lead Bryant over Quinnipiac 69-61 on Thursday night.

The Bulldogs (4-13, 2-3 Northeast Conference) missed their first 17 shots from the field and trailed 23-3 before a 3-pointer from Matthew Lee with 6:24 remaining in the opening half.

Bryant finished the half 3 for 25 from the floor (12 percent) and entered halftime down 36-15.

The Bulldogs started the second half on an 18-6 run to close their deficit to 42-33 with 13:55 to go and followed with a 13-2 run — led by seven points from Francis — to take their first lead of the game, 46-44, with 10:35 to play.

Both teams continued to trade leads until Cecil Gresham hit a 3-pointer to put the Bulldogs ahead 59-56 with 1:40 left.

The Bobcats (11-4, 3-2) were led Deontay Twyman's 14 points, while Ike Azotam and Dominique Langston grabbed 11 rebounds apiece.
