Saints quarterback Drew Brees, Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall and Cardinals punt returner Patrick Peterson have been honored as the NFC's top players for Week 12 of the NFL season.

Brees completed 24-of-38 passes for 363 yards with four touchdowns and added a rushing score in the Saints' 49-24 victory over the Giants to capture the offensive award. Since joining New Orleans in 2006, Brees has won 12 player of the week awards, the most in franchise history.

Hall secured the defensive award by recording an interception, six passes defended and five tackles in the Redskins' 23-17 win over the Seahawks. He sealed the victory with an interception in Seattle territory with under a minute left in regulation.

Peterson had an 80-yard punt-return touchdown in the Cardinals' 23-20 win over the Rams. The standout rookie secured his second special teams award of the season.
