Troy Barnies scored 20 points and pulled down 14 rebounds to lead Maine to a 64-50 win over New Hampshire on Tuesday night.

The Black Bears (13-7, 7-1 America East Conference) have won 13 of their last 17 meetings against New Hampshire and six straight overall.

Maine posted a 45-31 rebounding edge and outscored the Wildcats (8-12, 2-6) in the paint 29-19.

Tyrone Conley, New Hampshire's leading scorer at 14.3 points per game, finished with only five points after going 1 for 8 from the floor.

Chris Matagrano led the Wildcats with eight points. Brian Benson, Chandler Rhoads, Dane DiLiegro, DeAndray Buckley and Scott Morris each scored six.

Gerald McLemore scored 13 for the Black Bears, who held New Hampshire to 5-of-23 shooting from 3-point range.

Maine led 29-24 at halftime and extended its lead to 46-30 on a 3-pointer from McLemore with 14:56 left to play.
