Donald Boone scored 20 points and Arkansas State routed Louisiana-Monroe 85-66 on Thursday night.

The Red Wolves (14-13, 8-4 Sun Belt Conference) shot 64 percent (32 of 50).

Brandon Peterson added 14 and Trey Finn had 11 for Arkansas State, which made 9 of 17 3-pointers.

The Warhawks (6-20, 1-11) shot 57.1 percent (24 of 42) but turned it over 15 times. Arkansas State had just eight turnovers and 21 assists.

The Red Wolves led 61-53 with 8:19 to go before scoring eight straight to take a 69-53 advantage with 5:28 left. The Warhawks would get no closer than 13 the rest of the way.

Lawrence Gilbert scored 14 points and R.J. McCray had 12 for Louisiana-Monroe, which lost its seventh in a row.

The Warhawks were 8 of 18 from 3-point range, but were just 10 of 15 from the free-throw line and were outrebounded 22-17.
