Nicolas Cage, star of the “National Treasure” movies, has agreed to return a rare dinosaur skull to the Mongolian government, according to Reuters.

In 2007, Cage bought the skull for $276,000 from a Beverly Hills gallery, I.M. Chait— reportedly outbidding Leonardo DiCaprio in the process.

Last week a U.S. attorney in Manhattan, Preet Bharara, filed a civil forfeiture complaint to take possession of the Tyrannasaurus skull and have it sent back to Mongolia.

The Oscar-winning actor is not accused of any wrongdoing and has voluntarily agreed to turn the skull over, authorities said. A publicist for Cage said the actor was contacted in 2014 by U.S. authorities when the Department of Homeland Security realized the skull may have been stolen.

Baharara’s office has recovered more than a dozen Mongolian fossils since 2012.
