Justin Bieber’s latest album, “Purpose,” has reportedly been banned by some countries in the Middle East.
According to TMZ, the uproar over the album is due to the fact that on the cover Bieber is shirtless and his tattoo of a cross is clearly visible.
The gossip site reports several predominately Muslim countries have ruled the album is too provocative to be sold. The album has also been banned in Indonesia, according to the site.
TMZ added that Bieber’s team is rushing to remake the cover so it will be acceptable in those countries.
Bieber’s single from “Purpose”— “What Do You mean?”—has topped the charts in more than a dozen countries and soared to the top of Billboard’s Hot 100 in its first week.
“Purpose” is the singer’s first full-length album since 2012.
