For Andie MacDowell, there's nothing worse than being called a "cougar."

The "Magic Mike XXL" star tells People that she finds the word "offensive," saying it perpetuates a double standard about men and women's sexuality and attractiveness as they age.

"There's this notion that as men get older they become more handsome, so therefore they can have younger women," says MacDowell, 57. "But there is no reality to that obviously - it's just another way to disempower women."

In "Magic Mike XXL," MacDowell plays a sexually uninhibited Southern woman who takes quite a shine to Channing Tatum's character and his stripper pals.
