Good luck keeping this one under the mileage limit.

Hertz has unveiled the latest special-edition rental, the Hertz Penske GT.

The custom Ford Mustang gets an upgraded exhaust system, tweaked engine management system, Brembo Brakes and a tuned suspension to go with a unique body that combines the front splitter from the Mustang Boss 302 and Shelby GT500’s rear valance finished in Hertz’s signature yellow and gold livery.

The interior is fitted with Recaro racing seats, a gauge package on the dash, touch-screen infotainment system and a plaque commemorating its unique provenance, which will be limited to just 150 copies.

The Penske GT will be a part of the company’s Adrenaline Collection, and available at just 15 airport rental locations across the United States. It ties in with the company’s sponsorship of Penske’s NASCAR racing team, and follows in the footsteps of the 2006 Shelby GT-H and 1966 Shelby GT350H specials.

Rental prices start at $180 a day, but the car comes with a 100 mile limit before extra fees kick in, so don’t plan on any trips across country.

But one to a quarter-mile drag strip sure would be tempting, even if the rental agreement prohibits it.
