The Dodge Challenger and Charger Hellcats are a couple of the hottest cars to ever come out of Detroit.

But while the 707 hp supercharged Hellcat V8 engine that powers them is the main draw, their in-your-face style has a lot to with their success, too.

Nevertheless, the retro muscle car thing can’t last forever, so Dodge ran a contest asking high school students what the Hellcat of 2025 should look like, since they might be the ones buying them then.

The winner was submitted by Ben Treinen from Archbishop Moeller High School in Cincinnati. It has four doors and three vents in the hood like the Charger, but the low, wide vision is otherwise more supercar than muscle car. The three runners-up followed a similar theme, one even turning the Hellcat into a mid-engined machine.

None of them are destined for production, as is, but all four of the kids won a three week design course at the College for Creative Studies, and get to have dinner with the Fiat Chrysler design team, so maybe some of their ideas will come to fruition someday.

The winning designs will also be on display at the Detroit Autorama show in January.
