Are you prone to lose things, including yourself, but think GPS is too high tech?

Jeep may have just the thing for you.

Wrangler, Grand Cherokee and Cherokee owners can now order a custom decal for the hoods of their SUVs emblazoned with a map of their favorite wheeling destination.

Sold through Mopar's Jeep Performance Parts division, several designs are suggested on the ordering website, including the off-road hotspots of Moab, Utah, and California’s Rubicon Trail, but all you have to do is type in a location and you can get a map of anywhere in the world, from the middle of Manhattan to Timbuktu.

Although primarily cosmetic, the images hearken back to early WW II-era GPWs, which featured wide, flat hoods that were prized for their ability to be used as map tables, according to the book “Jeep: The History of America’s Greatest Vehicle.”
